The long awaited family trip to Mexico finally arrived and in turn ended way too soon, and not on a very happy note unfortunately! However, the family trip to Riviera Maya to stay at the Iberostar Paraiso Maya was a complete success.
I conducted a lot of research before booking our trip through my favorite travel site Fun Jet. Unlike my last trip with my husband to St. Lucia, this one was all about family fun and having enough to do to keep our 7 year old Shelby happy and entertained while still allowing us adults to enjoy the getaway as well! Anyone who has vacationed with children knows this easier said than done!
We took off at 7:30am, flying from Dallas to Atlanta, and then finally arrived in Cancun. We got lucky and were upgraded to first class so they could accommodate our party of four, we were VERY disappointed as the smile on my daughters face indicates.
After a 30 minute bus ride we arrived at the resort and it took us no time to check in and head straight to the beach! First family photo in Mexico!
My husband has a great underwater camera, something I suggest every beach vacationer invests in. There was plenty of underwater fun to be had and I am glad we could capture some great pictures!
Mommy and Daddy got to have some fun too…
The fun just kept on coming!
Past resorts we have visited left much to be desired concerning their nightly shows! We attended every show and stayed until the end of each one every night! To us that was a VERY big deal. Shelby loved them and even got to get on stage for a picture or two. The BEST thing we did, something I have always wanted to do, was swim with the dolphins. I TOTALLY recommend spending the money! This excursion was a bucket list event for me!
Almost ready to go…
Here we go…
We just loved Mexico!
Check out Iberostar Paraiso Maya! I totally recommend it for a family vacation to remember!
A BIG thank you to my mom who helped us on this trip so that my husband and I could have some well deserved time together!
We will be returning to Mexico to check out some of the other great places I have heard about…hmmm…should I start planning the next trip now??
