Well we made it home in once piece … I will start by saying that it was absolutely wonderful. BEST VACATION EVER! I will recap the highlights … I am so excited because I know we will be returning to Cabo as soon as we can. We have found a vacation spot we will return to again and again as often as we can!
6:00 am and we are ready to go. This was our first time flying on Spirit airlines, was not the best flight I have ever been on but it got us there and on time.
After checking in it is time for a bit of pool time. The main pool at this resort rocked! Pool bar and a great view, only steps away from the crashing waves. I do me CRASHING! Cabo is NOT the place for ocean swimming, the current is brutal. I actually got swept in and pulled under because I dared dip my toes in the surf. Only needed to try that once to know never to do it again!
Our first night was wonderful and the next morning it was breakfast and mimosas before we headed out on the day’s adventure (well I guess I had a mimosa and Zach had a beer … don’t judge, we are on vacation!).
This is always something I have wanted to do and we have considered it many times as an excursion however just never have … until today! Saddle up!
The next day we decided to take a water taxi out to Lover’s Beach … It was an interesting ride to say the least. Beautiful but VERY intense as the current is SO strong!
Even the current could not take away from the view.
Once at Lover’s Beach it was time to relax and enjoy the quietness … but definitely not time to swim!
One last photo at Lover’s Beach as we wait for the water taxi to come and bring us back to the mainland. It certainly was worth the few dollars and wave filled ride to spend a couple of hours virtually alone on a deserted Island. There was not even a bathroom … glad we did not stay longer 🙂
After Lover’s Beach we decided to go check out the city of Cabo … well that’s where we really fell in love with the place! We grabbed a bite to eat at this really neat pizza pub located at Cabo Villas. There was super yummy food, great beer, and an awesome view … what more could you ask for … well keep going cause this day only gets better!
After lunch we decided to go shopping, who doesn’t love shopping while on vacation, I certainly do almost to a fault 🙂 Well, I had been waiting for a long time for something very special and Zach was in the mood to make me a very happy wife! I finally got my Rolex, I really am blessed with a wonderful husband … I guess I will keep him a bit longer 🙂
Back to the resort and a dip in the pool, we had such a wonderful day and this was definitely the way to top it off!
Then it was time to board the boat for our sunset cruise. We always take these when available on a vacation. There is usually good food, music, views, and of course a few drinks. Always a good time! We set sail …
We took in some sights and enjoyed the view. Both of us were still in awe at what a beautiful place we had found ourselves in!
We were disappointed to see our trip come to an end but felt so very blessed that we had the opportunity to spend the time together in such an amazing place. We will return and have no doubt that our next trip will be even better!
